Her ultra-conservative parents necessity to inhibit them, and Thelma herself (played by Eili Harboe) doesn’t know what to do with them, especially once they curved shape out of control. There’s a strong sense of erotic compulsion to her abilities, which pioneer once she starts falling for a fellow student, a young woman who some encourages and frightens her.
